Out the metropolis

Growing up in the city, coming head to head with nature is often a rare occurrence. Being so used to be the hustle and bustle of the ongoing city, you don't really realise what's really out there until you step out of your comfort zone and withdraw yourself away from the glitz and glamour.

My dad (being the adventure junkie he is lol) decided to take me hiking; something I've always desired to do (mainly influenced by LA locals who often document their hikes to the hollywood sign on social media. aka.SNAPCHAT). The short hike mainly consisted of me stopping every few steps to truly marvel at nature's beauty (as cliché as it sounds) , although I couldn't capture most it; I did manage to take a few shots.Whilst walking underneath the rows of the towering trees, I repeatedly found myself comparing the soaring trees to the skyscrapers back in the city-the comparison of the natural sunlight reflecting through the tress to the flashing lights of the sky-high buildings.

Although I almost tripped a million times and nearly dropped all my dearly beloved possessions (sigh* I learnt from my mistake, trust me), the feeling of dipping in the cool fresh water was worth it. The waterfall was small but refreshing, giving us time to splash about- lay back and relax underneath the crashing waterfall. Little advice, never under estimate a waterfall by it's size lol it was pretty deep.

Anyway, I want to thank Tai Tam for treating us well ( we went there a few times after lol ) and I apologise for taking so long to finally post. Hope you all had a great summer :-)

xx
